 UPDATE 2:

Army is $1,500.00 ahead of our nearest competitor, the Navy.
My team, Go Army, was behind by a thousand yesterday at this time.

Way to come back!

BlackFive is leader of the Army team, way to lead!

 Smash captains the Navy effort.
Mrs G. of of Mudville Gazette fame, leads the Air Force team.
The Marines are led by Holly Aho.  Holly's site was in-op at the time I posted this,
hopefully the traffic is relenting a bit.

 Nice going, everyone.

UPDATE: The fund-raising progress can now be directly
accessed from Valour-IT. hat tip SGT Hook

There is a concerted effort on the part of many
blogs to raise money for a worthy cause.

The Project Valour-IT Blogger Competition Fundraiser
November 2 - November 11 (Veteran's Day)

I learned about the effort from SGT Hook, an Army man.
I joined the ARMY team!

The money we raise will go towards equipping military men injured
during service with lap-top computers that are voice activated.

What is Valour-IT?
Project Valour-IT, in memory of SFC William V. Ziegenfuss,
provides voice-controlled software and laptop computers to wounded
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand and arm injuries or
amputations at major military medical centers.

Operating laptops by speaking into a microphone,
our wounded heroes are able to send and receive messages
from friends and loved ones, surf the 'Net, and communicate
with buddies still in the field without having to press a key or move a mouse.

In the right side-bar, is a donation link as well as a progress graph.  Check it out.

A worthy cause, whether you are political or not.

Give as much as you can.

peace

Thanks, TG. I had just found the link on his site, and sent it, just before you commented. :-)
